Welcome, my intention is to help clients break barriers, restore a sense of inner peace, discover hidden potential, and cultivate healing upon a journey of self and relational discovery. My specialties include internal conflict, existential crisis, grief, life transitions, sexuality, & family/marital restoration.
I work with your inner self as a reflection of your external path and current relationships. My role is to provide a safe space as a supportive ally for the uncovering of what may be unconscious to you or possibly difficult to talk about.
My theoretical framework includes psychoanalytic/psychodynamic counseling, and existential therapy. I also work with couples and families to cultivate communication, work through conflict, recover from relationship mistrust, and develop greater intimacy.
Cheri L. Hausmann MA, LMFT-A, PhD-Candidate
Supervised by Candy Marcum & Larry Porter
In existential therapy, clients come to face their own inner thoughts and feelings about who they are and how their perceptions have been influenced by others and the world around them. These insights provide structure in understanding what areas are necessary to focus on. In time, clients develop a natural inclination to change certain aspects of their life that are no longer serving them. In this process, clients develop a strong sense of self whereby restoration of harmonious relationships can occur, and unsettling conditions begin to transform and heal.
