Greetings. The process of treatment focuses on working through and uncovering the forces underlying one's mind and relational interactions. With time, this proposes a means of restoration and freedom of will. I often work with individuals and families experiencing grief, life transitions, depression, existential & spiritual crises, single-parent concerns, and blended family units.
I am also trained as a hypnotherapist and provide an approach that is less aggressive than the traditional hypnotherapy & EMDR-related treatments of suggestion. When dealing with trauma, it is ill-advised to force the arising of material. The technique I utilize is a natural approach that engages free association.
As the philosopher Hegel would say, ¨The owl of Minerva spreads its wings at the falling of dusk.¨ Implying wisdom is attained through hindsight. Thus signifying what you are currently experiencing as a present perception of a prior impression. The process of analytic therapy brings about the release of repressed thoughts and memories to effectively work through.
From a philosophical perspective, this uncovering of previous impressions denotes a phenomenological experience. This is how one would witness the life, mind, and emotions within their own lens. It is my role to help guide you in this process of uncovering.

Individual sessions provide an avenue for a client to feel heard and acknowledged. I am likely to incorporate various methods of application to assist in the process of restoration and the healing of past wounds presently surfacing. I strive to be patient and compassionate in the process.
I work with family units primarily in areas of grief, loss, and transitions. This includes couples and marital dynamics. I like to invite as many members of the family as able to attend, this is the traditional family therapy method and at the heart of systems treatment.
As a family therapist, I am trained to work with children. I am also a parent myself and understand common struggles that parents experience. For some children, it is difficult to open up in therapy, therefore, I also incorporarte art, sand tray, and parent-child play in session.
