I welcome the engagement of individual and family needs on the basis of both intrinsic and extrinsic values. Considering the words of Pythagoras - "Wisdom thoroughly learned will never be forgotten." I utilize empirical, as well as phenomenal, treatment integrations of philosophy, psychoanalysis, and relational psychotherapy.
I am a doctorate student and analyst candidate in the psychoanalytic school of object relations. The process of psychoanalytic therapy focuses on the "science of the unconscious" allowing yourself and relations to understand the root of symptoms and reactional patterns. "Knowledge is power" as proposed by Francis Bacon.
Most clients understand behavioral needs or self-care tools, my focus is on engaging the deeper layers of the psyche as to realize a particular interconnectedness: Jungian therapy embraces a quest for wholeness. Life lessons are not always linear, working through the fragments of life experience that arise, clients realize repetitive patterns as past derivitives.
Psychoanalytic therapy is a well-researched depth psychology and is known to be more effective longitudinally over that of the popularly prescribed uses of CBT including significant personality changes. Benefits also extend beyond a focus on symptomology in time including relational alliance, personal autonomy, & enlightened, well-integrated perspectives.
